THE FACTS ON ROMNEY AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY

During The Final Debate, Mitt Romney Lied To The American People About Many Things, Among Them Was His Position On The Auto Industry.

HERE ARE THE FACTS: What Romney recommended for the auto industry did not happen. His proposed path would have forced General Motors and Chrysler out of business. He opposed using government money to bail out the automakers, instead favoring privately financed bankruptcy restructuring. But the automakers were bleeding cash and were poor credit risks. The banking system was in crisis. So private loans weren't available. Without government aid, both companies would have gone under and their assets sold in pieces.

Time after time, on issue after issue, to believe Mitt Romney is to do so at your own and the nation's peril.

AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS

WHY?

The question is why?  Why do so many Americans vote for a party that is so obviously out to hurt them?

How can anyone who is either middle or working class and not part of the 1%, which is really the only segment of the population that Republicans care about (as Mitt told you himself),  ever vote Republican?

How any woman can ever vote for Romney/Ryan, who to this day do not support equal pay for equal work and who want to turn back the calendar on a century's worth of hard fought gains  in women's rights, is beyond reason.

Are American's that uninformed, gullible, and stupid?
Maybe so, after all they did elect W.....twice.

Let's hope we Americans have learned from our mistakes.

ONE TERM MORE

THIS IS SPECIAL - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH IT

Aren't you proud to live in a country that respects all of it's citizens and to have a leader who through example leads us to respect each other?

Democracy should be about citizens choosing those who will lead us. All eligible citizens should be able to vote in this election, and those who would take away rights through reduced voting hours or onerous complex requirements are anti American.

THE OPTIONAL CONSTITUTION

Chick Fil A-

The guy has the right to say it, 100%, it's a free country.

What is troubling is the direction of the so called "support" movement spurred on by right wing politicians. Seemingly, it is not as much about supporting free speech as it is about supporting discrimination.

Equal protection under the law for all citizens means just that. It's in the constitution same as the right wing's beloved second amendment is. You either believe in The Constitution or not. Are we now choosing which parts of that document we are willing to recognize and which parts are merely optional?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

During the Republican National Convention, water guns will be strictly prohibited. Concealed handguns however, will be perfectly legal.

CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Senate Republicans voted on Monday to block consideration of the Buffet Rule which would ensure that billionaires pay more in taxes than their secretaries and other average working class Americans.

A CNN poll released on the very same day showed that 72% of Americans support the measure, including 53% of Republicans. This, coming on the heels of a Gallop poll released last week which showed that 63% of independent voters are in favor of the Buffet Rule.

In the face of such broad bipartisan support among the American people, Republicans would not even allow the Senate to debate the rule let alone vote on it.

Clearly, congressional Republicans are out of touch with the American people including a majority of voters in their own party.

In November they will no longer be out of touch, they will just be out.

GUNS KILL PEOPLE - DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU OTHERWISE!

One school shooting after another, it's endless. Yet, Republicans across this country keep passing laws that not only make it easier to get guns but to specifically require them to be permitted to be carried on school grounds including, in many instances, kindergartens and nursery schools. What is wrong with these people? What is wrong with the people who keep electing them?

IT'S ENOUGH!

SINCE WHEN IS RUSH LIMBAUGH THE VOICE OF MORAL AUTHORITY?

When did a 3 divorce, 4th wife, drug addled, overweight, sewer mouth who had to resign from ESPN over racist remarks, become the voice of moral authority in this country or anywhere for that matter?

The nerve of this guy to continually spout vile hate speech over the public airwaves to millions of Americans and the nerve of Disney, to air it.

It is enough! This guy could very well be attacking your daughter or sister or wife or mother.

It is time for women and all good people of conscience to once again rise up  and say IT'S ENOUGH!

It's time to tell Disney, & ABC  and any company who supports that show that we have had enough and will not be doing business with them!

How about you America? Are your daughters, sisters, wives and mothers, sluts and prostitutes as Mr. Limbaugh alleges or have you had enough?

Mad as Hell? We'll Don't Take It Anymore!

ONLY A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT CAN WIPE AWAY THE MOST DISGUSTING DAY IN US POLITICAL HISTORY

Today is indeed a disgusting day, for it was on January 21st 2010 that a bitterly divided Supreme Court, in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, vastly increased the power of big business and labor unions to influence government decisions by freeing them to spend their millions directly to sway elections for president and Congress.

IN ORDER TO SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY WE NEED A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO OUTLAW UNLIMITED CORPORATE AND ANONYMOUS MONEY FROM BEING SPENT ON POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS AND WE NEED IT NOW!

THE WISDOM OF JUSTICE WILLIAM O. DOUGLAS

The great and invigorating influences in American life have been the unorthodox: the people who challenge an existing institution or way of life, or say and do things that make people think.

EVEN RONALD REAGAN COMPROMISED

HEADLINE: DEMOCRATS SEEK UP TO $3 TRILLION SAVINGS

HEADLINE: REPUBLICANS BACK TAX CUTS AND CORPORATE BREAKS

The Democrats put a serious debt reduction plan on the table that both cuts entitlement spending and increases taxes on the wealthy.

The Republicans call for more tax cuts?

In the face of massive deficits and debt, is that a serious proposal? You want to double down on much of what got us here in the first place?

Democrats are ready to compromise for the good of the country. When have Republicans ever been ready to do that? When will they?

Our country faces serious issues and needs to move forward and deal with stimulating the economy and creating jobs while at the same time dealing with our debt. If there ever was a time to step up for America, now would be it.

The strength of America and our ability to project power across the globe is directly tied to our economic engine and right now it is clear that we need both increased revenue and some measure of entitlement reform to restore our strength.

Those who refuse to compromise for America should be shown the door.

THANK YOU HALEY BARBOUR & RICK PERRY

In case you have not been paying attention, here is a preview of the America that the right wing wants to bring to you. The facts on the ground are:
  • Mississippi is among the states with the worst education systems
  • The poverty rate is 21% in Mississippi.
  • Mississippi. has the lowest median income at $36,850. of any state in the union.
  • Mississippi is among the states with the highest obesity levels,
  • Mississippi's 10.4% unemployment ranks 6th highest out of the 50 states
  • Mississippi has the third highest percentage in the country of people without health insurance coverage at 24% (Texas is #1 at roughly 27%).
The state is an economic black hole, it has been for some time and it shows in the way people suffer there. And, as is true with black holes, it is nearly impossible for the residents of Mississippi to escape their difficult financial situations. It is evident that the government has no interest in providing the means necessary to give their people a leg up.

In Governor Haley Barbour, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, you have a rock solid, scarlet red, proponent of all that is right wing Republicanism. In fact, he had a notion that he could be elected president of the United States. It did not work out in spite of his sterling record of accomplishment in Mississippi.

While we're at it, we might as well thank Texas Governor Rick Perry as well. Perry, who also wants to be president, touts his economic accomplishments in Texas. Here are some of them:

  • 18.4% of Texans live in poverty, which is above the national average.
  • 25% of Texas children live in poverty.
  • 27% of Texans do not have health insurance.
  • Texas has the highest percentage of minimum wage jobs in the nation.
  • The average family income in Texas is $2,000. below the national average.
With such a brilliant economic record it is a wonder there are any challengers at all.

In any event, Governors Barbour and Perry we want to thank you, for there can be no greater example of the America that right wing Republicans would have us live in. A place where education is not valued. In a world where high paying jobs require ever greater levels of education and technical expertise, it is a place where it's people, uneducated, are condemned to a life of poverty. A place where when you or your children get sick, you have to decide between medicine and food because you do not have health insurance and the access to quality health care that it provides.

Wake up soon America or you will wake up to a right wing world and from the looks of it, its not nice place to live and that ain't right!

                     THANK YOU GOVERNORS
